The Manna Society

You can help Manna by donating gifts of food, clothes and other essential items. You can help us with furniture - which we can collect.
You can also donate money to help to keep the centre services open.
You can make a difference by volunteering your time and skills to help with the running of the centre.
Would you like one of our leaflets? They tell you what we spend the money on - and include a Gift Aid and standing order form.

Approximately 90% of our foodstuffs are donated. The items we use most frequently are tins of soup, sugar and powdered milk. For a comprehensive list of the various foodstuffs or the most needed items we need at present please see our

As the majority of our users are men we only require mens' clothing. The items we always need are mens' underwear, socks and shoes. Again for a more comprehensive or up to date list please contact the Administrator.
Other essential items which we need a constant supply of are tea mugs, blankets and sleeping bags.
We need furniture to give to homeless people, when they move into a flat or house. Can you help - or display our poster? Call our Administrator if you'd like us to collect some furniture.
We've had a great response to our request for more volunteers to help run the Day Centre.
However, we do need more volunteers, both during the week and on Saturdays and Sundays. If people are willing to volunteer one day a week say for a minimum of 3 months that would be good. The work is very hands on - mostly helping in the kitchen, such as putting dishes into a dishwasher - very unglamorous! The hours are 9 am to 2.15 pm.
