Help us to fundraise for our volunteer – Z!

Hi, I’m Karolina, an Advice Worker here at The Manna Centre. My colleagues and I are fundraising to help our friend and long-time volunteer – Z (for confidentiality reasons, we will refer to him as Z. throughout this message). We are trying to raise funds for Z’s solicitor fees related to his immigration application. The good news is that we have raised 60% of the needed £10,000. We have opened a Crowdfunder page to hopefully raise the outstanding £4,000.

For the past 13 years, Z. has dedicated his time and energy as a long-term volunteer with our organization. Whether it was serving the homeless, cleaning the centre’s facilities, or handling various administrative tasks, Z. has made an incredible help to us. Now he is facing a significant challenge: the high costs of solicitor fees for his immigration application. After years of giving back to the community, he now needs our help to cover these legal expenses.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in easing the burden of these unexpected costs. Please join us in showing our appreciation for Z. and supporting him during this challenging time. Your generosity will allow him to move forward with his life. You can contribute at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/help-z-cover-solicitor-fees

Thank you for your kindness and for supporting a dedicated individual who has always put others first.

Please note that all funds will go to this appeal and not to The Manna Society and will not qualify for gift aid.

Kitchen volunteers needed at weekends – August 24

Would you like to help us out in the kitchen on a weekly basis? We are looking for kitchen volunteers on a Monday. The work is very practical, mostly putting dishes through a dishwasher.

Or maybe once a month works better for you? If so we are in need of kitchen volunteers on the 1st & 4th Sunday of each month.

If you are free once a week or once a month and would like to help us in the kitchen please email Paddy on mail@mannasociety.org.uk The hours are from 9am to 1pm.

Many thanks.
